Public Speaking is in its Renaissance

While some argue that oratory is on life-support, I see that public speaking is in its Renaissance.  Face-to-face communication between experts and audiences cuts through the noise and overwhelming amount of information and opinion flooding in from the internet.  There are all-too-real limits on our time and ability to read through and interpret the complex, changing and copious amounts of material coming our way daily.  Particularly for those in the areas of U.S. national security, cybersecurity and global security, the spoken medium offers the most efficient means of accessing the most reliable and responsible analyses available in real time.   This is the motivation behind the founding of Lisa Bernard’s SecuritySpeak, LLC. ,  a “brain trust” of top scientific, academic, military, diplomatic and policymaking professionals with substantial expertise in matters of security available for live presentations to live audiences.  Security Briefs blog space is devoted to our experts' interview and speech excerpts, perspectives and thoughts on matters of security - cyber, national and international and developments in their fields.
